Storyteller Pocket Cardigan

Storyteller is a simply timeless wearable piece designed with comfort in mind. This cardigan is knit from the top down with Raglan styling and seamless construction.

The main features of this design are the set-in pockets, trimmed edges using simple ribbing, and the huckleberry stitch pattern that is reminiscent of the Mark Twain stories that have been a part of early childhood reading memories for generations.

SIZES: X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, X-large, 2X-Large, 3X-Large, 4X-Large), XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL) made to fit bust sizes 32 (34, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56)” with 4” of positive ease for a total body circumference of 36 (38, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60). Metric sizes: bust: 82 (86, 92, 102, 112, 122, 132, 142) cm, total body circumference: 92 (96, 102, 112, 122, 132, 142, 152) cm.

Pattern is made for use with Expression Fiber Arts Resilient Sock Yarn, but any Sock weight yarn would work.

US size 5 (3.75 mm) 32” (80 cm) or size needed to accommodate the large number of stitches

US size 5 (3.75 mm) dpns {optional} for the sleeves.

Stitch holder (or large scrap piece of yarn), tapestry needle for weaving in ends, stitch markers (4 stitch ms to indicate increases at sleeves)

Advanced Beginner: For those knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Stitches and Concepts include: Basic Garment Shaping, m1r, m1l.

• Gauge is VERY crucial to this project and should be worked in Huckleberry Stitch Pattern. Be sure to check your gauge often.
• When working each row, you will be moving the sleeve markers up with each row as you work, this is indicated with the abbreviation sm (slip marker).
• This pattern is worked flat back and forth through the yoke and body sections and then worked in the round for the sleeves.
• The 2 sts in the center of each raglan increase section will be knit in Stockinette.

Sizes included in the pattern are X-Small (Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 2X-Large, 3X-Large, 4X-Large), XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X, 4X), made to fit bust sizes 32” (34, 36”, 40”, 44”, 48”, 52”, 56”) with a total length of 30” (31.5”, 32”, 32.5”, 33”, 33.5”, 34”, 34.5”) and 4” of positive ease. Metrics: bust 82 (86, 92, 102, 112, 122, 132, 142) cm; length 76 (80, 82, 82.5, 83, 85, 86, 87) cm; and 10 cm of ease.

Testers who complete the requirements of the test on time will receive a finished copy of the pattern once it is released.
