Hearth & Hand Sweater

Job type Test knit
Description

Warmer days might be ahead here in the Northern Hemisphere, but there's always room for a cozy knit on the needles. This sweater will be part of an upcoming Christmas 2025 campaign, so if yoou love getting a head start on cold-weather knits, keep that in mind!

Just the thing for December festivities, this soft, cozy sweater and matching mittens belong wherever a warming fire flickers and the smell of hot chocolate lingers. Constructed top-down in the round in sizes for everyone, the sweater features a subtle cable yoke and a distinctive braided cuff like the mitts, shown here in Yuletide cinnamon. Really, it’s great winter-round style!

Requirements from the maker

Here is what I’m looking for:
1. Complete the test knit and send any notes by May 20th :)
2. If you have Instagram, post a progress photo and one finished photo on Instagram on or before the release date in order to help me promote the pattern, which is so appreciated.
3. Tag me in the photo @knitsbykeyknits and please use #keyknits and #hearthandhandsweater in your posts so I can share and see them!
4. Finally, upload a project to Ravelry.

The feedback I’m hoping you can provide:
1. Were there any grammatical errors?
2. Were there any mathematical errors?
3. What needle size did you use to meet gauge?
4. How many yards of yarn did you use? Yards are preferred rather than ounces or grams.
5. Was there anything that could be explained better?
