Description

Emberglow is a top down raglan, slightly cropped with long sleeves. Featuring a double thick folded neckband and sleeve cuffs. The neckband is worked last. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top (seamless except for seaming the folded cuffs over).

This sweater is meant to be worn oversized. I suggest choosing a bust size with between 8-16" {20.5-40.5 cm} of positive ease. Sample has 14.25" {36 cm} of ease. All measurements are finished sweater sizes.

  • Bust Circumference: 40 (45.25, 50.75, 54.25)[59.5, 65] inches, {101.5 (115, 129, 138)[151, 165] cm}.
  • Upper Arm Circumference: 17 (18.75, 19.5, 22.75)[24.5, 26.25] inches, {43 (47.5, 49.5, 58)[62, 66.5] cm}.
  • Total Length (measured along the front including neckband): 22.25 (22.25, 22.25, 25.5)[25.5, 25.5] inches, {56.5 (56.5, 56.5, 65)[65, 65] cm}.
  • Yoke Depth (measured along the front including neckband): 11.5 inches, {29 cm} for all sizes.

Tools required

  • Gauge: US 13 {9 mm} 16" {40 cm} & 32″ {80 cm} circular needles. (Or size needed to match gauge)
  • Rib: 2 sizes smaller than the gauge needles in same cord lengths. (Sample uses: US 11 {8 mm})


Bulky (#5 yarn in 4 colors):

  • C1: 165 (175, 185, 200)[210, 220] yards, {151 (160, 169, 183)[192, 201] meters}.
  • C2: 150 (165, 170, 185)[200, 215] yards, {137 (151, 155, 169)[183, 197] meters}.
  • C3: 140 (155, 165, 205)[220, 235] yards, {128 (142, 151, 187)[201, 215] meters}.
