Job type | Test knit |
Description | These socks were originally inspired by an Art Nouveau themed magazine call back in Summer 2021. After playing with various stitch swatches, what I got instead was a stitch pattern that reminded me more of the Impossible Geometry that is so prevalent in the works of M.C. Escher.
These socks are knit from the cuff down, with a heel flap and gusset style heel. The Blocks Stitch pattern is continued on the instep, while the sole is knit in stocking stitch, and the toe is decreased and then seamed with grafting (Kitchener Stitch). |
