Description	The Marianna Shawl is knit in the round from centre out. The edging is knit flat and joined to the shawl as you work. The main lace mesh motif and the edging pattern are both charted, with written instructions available as a secondary download. When looking for a substitute yarn, any fingering-weight or lace weight yarn would work well. I’d suggest anything with a good bit of drape -- silk, bamboo, or alpaca blends. Note that gauge and yarn weight are both flexible for this pattern, though it will change the appearance and/or size of the finished object. This pattern has written instructions available as a secondary download.

Finished measurements	Shawl measures approximately 68 inches (170 cm) square. This may vary as gauge is not essential for this pattern.
Gauge	32 sts and 20 rows = 4 inches (10 cm square) in stocking stitch. Please not gauge is not critical to this pattern, but will effect yardage and final size.

Ownership of the finished item	The finished item is yours to keep.
Requirements from the maker	You will use your own yarn, but get to keep the finished object. As well, you will get a final copy of the finished pattern for your own use. You will not share or distribute the pattern PDF. You will be able to complete the test by the deadline posted. If circumstances come up and you cannot complete the test by the deadline posted, you will notify me as soon as possible. You will post any errors or other issues you encounter with the pattern to the testing thread. If you are altering the pattern to your own preferences, please post within the appropriate testing thread first to confirm. I don’t usually mind alterations, but I do have to make sure that the elements of the pattern I need tested are being tested. I would like to have feedback posted to the testing pool once every two weeks, minimum, please. That feedback does not have to be elaborate, it can even be ‘I haven’t touched this since last time’. Finished Projects should include a photograph, preferably modeled (if applicable) and in good lighting I may ask for your photograph to be featured on the Ravelry pattern page if I like it, but that is not a requirement of my testers. Testers should fill out the feedback questions when they have completed their project. You may create a project page on Ravelry at any time you wish.
