Description | Looking for adventurous beginners to test knit my luna twist top. It is a chunky 6 st cable knit top that has a small side slit and ties together at the shoulders with i-cord bows. It has intricate contrast trims made with alpaca silk and wool yarn - making a speedy project where you will learn a lot! No past testing experience needed. Finished measurements (CM): XS (4-6 UK) - waist = 61cm, bust =79cm , front shoulder width = 36.3cm S (8-10 UK) - waist = 67.5cm, bust =85.5cm , front shoulder width = 38cm M (12-14 UK) - waist = 77.5cm, bust = 95.5cm, front shoulder width = 41.5cm L (16-20 UK) - waist = 88.5cm , bust =106.5cm , front shoulder width = 42.5cm Construction: You will knit bottom up the front and back pieces, then create the side trim and slit, sew the pieces together, then create the armhole finishing trim along with the i-cord bows for the shoulder ties. Cable Stitch Pattern: Every EVEN (RS) row: *p2, k6* repeat Every ODD (WS) row: *k2, p6* repeat Every 8th row, *p2, cable 3 hold front, k3, k3 on your cable needle, p2* repeat until end of row. Yarn you will need: Main Body: I used Hayfield Baby Blossom Chunky (100g/ 155m - 100% Acrylic) but you can use any yarn that meets gauge. Gauge: Your gauge needs to be made using the cable pattern stated in the pattern. 14st x 17 rows (10x10cm) Amount: XS - 2 skeins S - 2 skeins M - 3 skeins L 3 skeins Trims: I used 1 end of DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk Yarn (25g/140m - I used colour Cerise) held together with 1 end of Baa Ram Ewe Pip ColourWork 100% Wool 4ply Yarn (25g/ 116m - I used colour Hirst Pink) but you can use any yarn that meets gauge. Amount: 1 skein of each of the above yarns OR 1 x 50g/ 150m if only using 1 type/end of yarn. Gauge: Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk Yarn = 17 sts x 22 rows (10x10cm) using 5mm needles. Baa Ram Ewe Pip ColourWork 100% Wool 4ply Yarn = 28 sts x 37 rows (10x10cm) using 2.75 - 3.25mm needles. Both yarns/ together = 19st x 28 rows (10x10cm) on 3mm needles.
